About this poster
The print is of an illustration by Ward Sutton commissioned by Entertainment Weekly magazine for their special issue featuring Phish from the year 2000. This was the same issue where the “Hot Dog” illustration appeared (a “Hot Dog” print was made and sold out years ago).
The illustration was for EW’s “Phish Dictionary” - under the letter P it listed the band Pavement: “Phish’s unlikely indie-rock inspiration. Mention Pavement to Anastasio and prepare for him to gush with praise.” The image is of Trey bowing before Pavement’s “Slanted and Enchanted” cd on a pedestal.
