About this poster
I worked so hard on this print, personally creating special brushes to get the effect of the light on the hickory tree how I envisioned it. I wanted the scene to feel like an Appalachian dream. A cabin in the woods (literally built into the tree), a guitar and a rocking chair on the porch, and dancing in the kitchen with the person that you love. The simple things in life, that you don't need drinkin' or drugin' to enjoy.
Healing Appalachia is focused on recovery for those who are struggling with their demons and vices. Like most people these days I've lost more than a few good people in my life to addiction, so this message hits home.
