About this poster
This silkscreen print is derived from the artwork Gilbert Shelton created for the cover of Grateful Dead's album Shakedown Street of 1978 - one of only three album covers that Gilbert Shelton ever created (the other two were for Texas multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and bluesmen Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown and for the late, great Doug Sahm of the Sir Douglas Quintet). Revisiting his original artwork, Shelton has created a wonderful original print that we are very proud to present for sale here. The edition of silkscreens were printed in 18 colours on Velin d’Arches paper in France by Philippe Viala of Anagraphics, Baillarguet.
