The artist later released The Vultures Are Circling, an art print featuring a similar design.
"This is a one of a kind 3D version of my 2010 Them Crooked Vultures in Portland poster. Never to be recreated, the only one in existance. A true 1/1.
The shadowbox measures 19.5"x 25" and 2 inches deep.
Four actual copies of the screenprinted poster were sacrificed to create this meticulous masterpeice. The poster is a painstaking layering of hand cut peices each mounted on black foamcore and raised one level from another. This makes drop shadows to create a visual perspective that is most definitely 3D. The peice is framed in a black wood shadow box under glass. The overall effect gives the viewer a distinct feeling of dimension and depth that make this image new and exciting. This newly realized vision was created by my assistant and long time friend, M. Braack and is signed by both of us."- JH
